Why this exists

Some banks won’t take your whole password. Instead they ask for a few characters from it: “enter the 3rd, 7th and 12th characters”. These are called masked passwords, and counting along a long password to find character 12 is fiddly and easy to get wrong.

So type or paste your password here, tap the positions you’re asked for, and read them off.

Use a strong password while you’re at it. I’m a fan of ”correct horse battery staple” style passphrases (just not that one, it’s taken).
